3 hurt when Buick hits school bus head-on in Caldwell

Karen Grundie, 65, of Caldwell was cited for inattentive driving after the Wednesday morning crash, Caldwell police report.

Grundie, her passenger and the bus driver were taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said. Neither of the two middle -school students on the bus was hurt, and their parents picked them up at the scene, Caldwell police said Thursday.

Witnesses reported a woman in the Buick was honking and waving at neighbors when the crash happened, police said.

Police said Grundie’s Buick hit the bus head-on at about 10:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Settlers Drive. Police have not described the circumstances of the crash in detail.
