Kuna woman involved in I-84 crash near Caldwell dies

A 21-year-old Kuna woman died Sunday after a Friday two-vehicle crash on Interstate 84 with a semi truck, according to Idaho State Police.

Emily Regennitter, was driving a 2012 Ford Focus west on I-84 when, at around milepost 29, she hit the back of the trailer of a 1998 Kenworth semi, driven by Homero Rosales Gallegos, 24, of Caldwell. Gallegos did not need to be transported. Regennitter, who had not been wearing a seatbelt, according to ISP, was taken to the hospital. But, she succumbed to her injuries Sunday.

The crash is still under investigation.
