Kuna woman injured in I-84 crash near Caldwell

A Kuna woman was sent to the hospital following a crash on Interstate 84 near milepost 29 early Friday morning, according to Idaho State Police.

Emily Regennitter, 21, of Kuna was driving a 2012 Ford Focus west on I-84 when she reportedly struck the rear end of a 1998 Kenworth semi pulling a trailer, driven by Homero Rosales Gallegos, 24, of Caldwell. ISP responded to the scene around 4:15 a.m.

Regennitter, who had not been wearing a seatbelt, was transported to the hospital, but her condition is unknown at this time. Gallegos was not transported to the hospital.

The crash is still under investigation. The exit ramp was blocked for about three and a half hours while crews cleared the scene.
