Caldwell driver dies in one-car crash on Aviation Way

Jose Rios, 22, was ejected from his car and died at the scene, Idaho State Police report.

Rios was driving south on Aviation Way from Franklin Road about 6:40 p.m. when he lost control of his Dodge Charger, which went off the right shoulder and overturned several times, ISP reports.

Rios was not wearing a seat belt. Passenger Ricky Gonzalez, 22, of Caldwell was wearing a seat belt and was taken to Saint Alphonsus in Nampa with injuries described as not life-threatening, ISP reports.

The crash is under investigation.
