Three-car injury crash ties up rush-hour traffic on I-84 in Nampa

Three people were injured in the collision, which was reported at 4:35 p.m. Friday at the westbound off-ramp for Garrity Boulevard, Idaho State Police report.

Casey Vanblaricom, 30, of Post Falls was attempting to exit at the off-ramp when traffic came to a stop in front of him and his vehicle hit a pickup driven by Cameron Hand, 17, of Nampa, according to an ISP news release. Hand's pickup traveled across the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a pickup driven by Arlo Decker, 66, of New Plymouth.

Hand was taken by ambulance to Saint Alphonsus in Nampa, and passengers in Decker's pickup were taken to St. Luke's in Meridian, ISP reports. All of the occupants were wearing seat belts.

Two lanes of Interstate 84 were blocked for about 45 minutes. The crash is under investigation by ISP.
