Nikole Zogg joined Southwest District Health as the district director on Nov. 30, according to a Friday news release from the district.
Zogg has 18 years of public health experience, including time spent in the U.S. Air Force, Central District Health in Boise, and in private health care. She has a bachelor's degree in anthropology, a master's degree in public health and a doctorate in public health with an emphasis in epidemiology.
"I am very excited to join Southwest District Health and look forward to serving the public health needs of the residents of Adams, Canyon, Gem, Owyhee, Payette and Washington Counties," Zogg said in the news release.
Bruce Krosch will retire from the Caldwell-based health district at the end of the year after 16 years of service. He has been the district's director since 2008.
