It’s official: Frank Wyant is Caldwell’s next police chief

Caldwell City Council members Monday night confirmed Capt. Frank Wyant, a 24-year veteran of the Caldwell Police Department, as the man to succeed Chris Allgood at the department’s helm.

All good is retiring from the department and was elected to the City Council in November. He called Wyant his top pick as the next chief, and a selection committee chose him from among 12 applicants. He will become chief in January.
