Canyon County commissioners announced Monday that the county will officially close the Nampa Courthouse Annex at the end of the work day on Thursday, Jan. 14.
Court functions from the annex will reopen in the county courthouse in Caldwell on Tuesday, Jan. 19, the day after Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The closure was planned around the federal holiday to reduce interruptions to services and give county employees an extra day to relocate their offices, , officials said in a news release. The move will mark the final step in the county’s effort to consolidate all court functions to the courthouse.
Once the Nampa annex, 120 9th Ave. S., is closed, commissioners plan to sell the site. Anyone interested in the property, across from the new Nampa police station, is asked to call the commissioners' officer, 208-454-7507.
