A 13-year-old boy will reportedly be OK after he ran in front of a pickup truck before sunrise Monday and was hit, Nampa police report.
The boy, who was headed for a school bus stop at 6:30 a.m., was taken to a local hospital for observation, but he was not believed to have life-threatening injuries, NPD Lt. Joe Ramirez said.
The 54-year-old pickup driver, who was headed west on 2nd Street South at 22nd Avenue South, is not expected to be cited, Ramirez said.
“It appears this youngster ran out from an unmarked crosswalk, right out in front of this guy,” he said.
