Idaho police investigate crash in Nampa, car ran into house

Idaho State Police are investigating a crash between two vehicles that occurred shortly before 8 a.m. in Nampa on Friday.

The crash resulted in a car running into a house, police said, but did not identify the location of the house.

The crash happened at the intersection of Middleton Road and Smith Avenue in Nampa.

Mark A. Austin, 47, of Caldwell, was driving eastbound on Smith Avenue in a 2000 Ford Mustang.

Neil C. Crane, 67, of Nampa, was driving northbound on Middleton Road in a 1983 Chevrolet Suburban when he hit Austin’s vehicle.

Austin had failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection, police said.

Austin was taken by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center-Nampa. A spokesman for Saint Alphonsus said Austin was treated and released by Friday night.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
