Two from Nampa dead after colliding with tree in early morning crash

Two men from Nampa did not survive a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Canyon County, state police said.

The men were the only occupants of a black Jaguar F-Type that crashed into a tree and a shed at around 12:12 a.m. on Lewis Lane near South McDermott Road, near the Nampa-Kuna border.

According to a news release from the Idaho State Police, the car was traveling eastbound on Lewis Lane when the driver “failed to negotiate a curve.” The car left the roadway and hit a canal bank before colliding with a tree.

Police said the men, ages 50 and 66, died at the scene. Their identities were not released.

State police are still investigating the crash, the release said. The Canyon County Sheriff’s Office, Canyon County Paramedics and the Kuna Fire Department assisted at the scene.
