FBI agent involved in shooting that injured one in Boise area. Agency mum on what happened
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is reviewing an agent-involved shooting Wednesday in Caldwell that left one “subject” wounded, according to a news release.
The FBI was “conducting court-authorized law enforcement activity at the time,” said Sandra Barker, FBI Salt Lake City public affairs officer.
“The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously,” the release said. “In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under review by the FBI’s Inspection Division.”
It’s unclear what that review will entail, how long it could take, the status of the wounded individual or what the nature of the court-authorized activity was. Barker said she was unable to provide any further comment because the case was ongoing.
