88-year-old Boise-area man killed in single-vehicle crash in East Idaho

An 88-year-old Nampa man died in an early morning single-vehicle crash in eastern Idaho, Idaho State Police said in a news release.

The man, who has not yet been identified publicly, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and towing a 2013 Dutch Camp trailer westbound on U.S. 20. The crash occurred just after 12:30 a.m. at milepost 405, north of Henrys Lake near the Idaho-Montana state line.

Police said the man drove off the right shoulder, overcorrected and then drove off the left shoulder, where his vehicle overturned.

According to the news release, the man was not wearing a seat belt and died of injuries at the scene.
