Update: Eleven vehicles were involved in a crash on Interstate 84 Friday afternoon, according to a press release from the Idaho State Police.
Five people were transported to various hospitals, the release said. Their conditions were not released.
Police say a vehicle traveling eastbound did not slow in traffic and rear-ended a trailer, which then jack-knifed and caused subsequent crashes.
Lanes were blocked for seven hours.

All eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 west of Caldwell were blocked Friday afternoon due to a crash, according to a press release from the Idaho State Police.
The crash occurred just before 4 p.m.
Initial reports to Canyon County Dispatch about the crash were that two semi trucks and four other vehicles were involved, an ISP emergency dispatcher said, but she hadn’t received any information verifying that from ISP investigators.
KIVI-Channel 6 is reporting that seven vehicles were involved in the crash, including a semi-truck that was hauling cars.
The crash is located near milepost 21.5, west of Caldwell.
