Sugar beet truck overturns in Treasure Valley, closing city intersection
A semi-truck trailer full of sugar beets tipped around 8:45 p.m. Monday in Nampa, spilling beets across a city intersection and temporarily closing the roads.
The intersection of 12th Avenue South and 7th Street South was closed as crews worked to sweep the sugar beets off the road and pull the trailer back onto its wheels. The road reopened by 11:19 p.m.
No injuries were reported, Nampa Police said. The roadway is open and the driver was cited for allegedly making an improper right turn, an infraction.
