An 18-year-old Meridian man and an unidentified child were killed in a Saturday evening crash in Canyon County, according to an Idaho State Police press release.
Police said the crash occurred July 28 around 11:30 p.m. at Robinson and Kuna roads.
Thomas L. Hunt, 18, of Meridian, was northbound on Robinson Road in a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer when he failed to yield to a stop sign and collided with a 2014 Subaru Impreza driven by 32-year-old Jacob P. Ware, of Kuna.
Zachary J. Newman, 18, and an unnamed juvenile were ejected from Hunt’s car and died of injuries at the scene, police said.
Hunt and two other juvenile passengers were taken to Saint Alphonsus in Boise. Ware and his passengers, 31-year-old Jessica Ware and two juveniles, were taken to Saint Alphonsus in Nampa. Their conditions are not known.
Police said those traveling in the Blazer were not wearing seat belts. Everyone in the Subaru was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
