A train collided with a commercial truck west of Caldwell on Thursday morning, killing the driver of the truck, according to Idaho State Police.
Floyd Gibson, 61, of Nampa, was traveling southbound on Look Lane near the Union Pacific railroad tracks. Gibson failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by a train headed east. Gibson was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, police said. He died at the scene. No one else was in the truck at the time of the crash.
The crash happened just after 10 a.m. on Look Lane, south of U.S. Highway 26.
Next of kin has been notified, according to police.

Idaho State Police is investigating the crash. The Canyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call as well.
