Christina Northrop, 26, died in the one-car crash, which is estimated to have happened after 11:30 p.m. Monday, the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday.
Northrop and her black Ford Focus ended up in a ditch west of Notus along Howe Road just east of Texas Road, but they weren’t discovered until 7 a.m. Tuesday, the sheriff’s office reported Tuesday. The Canyon County Coroner’s Office confirmed Wednesday that Northrop was the person who died, the sheriff’s office reports.
Northrop was apparently headed west on Howe when the Focus left the right shoulder of the road. The driver overcorrected, crossed the roadway, ran off the left shoulder and rolled into a ditch, the sheriff’s office reported.
