A man who crashed his 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle on Interstate 84 near the Eagle Road off ramp on Aug. 18 died Tuesday, according to an Idaho State Police press release.
Travis Myers, 30, of Garden City had been driving the motorcycle in the far left lane on eastbound I-84 around 7:30 a.m., and didn’t slow down in time for backed-up traffic. He crashed into a 2014 Chevy Impala, driven by Lorraine Tracy, 52, of Wilder. Myers ended up under the bike in the crash, and his passenger, Melissa Thompson, 30, of Boise, was thrown from the bike, according to ISP.
Neither Thompson or Myers were wearing helmets. Thompson was sent to the hospital, treated and released. But Myers was sent to the hospital where he died due to injuries from the crash Tuesday.
Tracy didn’t sustain any serious injuries in the crash.
