Boise firefighters extinguish house fire near Whitewater and State

The fire was reported around 4:15 p.m.in the 2100 block of Pleasanton Avenue, and the flames were knocked down within about 15 minutes, the Boise Fire Department reports.

Firefighters told KBOI-TV, Channel 2 that construction equipment on the top floor of the two-story home apparently sparked the fire, which spread from a bedroom to the attic. Damage was limited, the fire department reports.

The department called in extra engines to swap out firefighters because of the afternoon heat, Channel 2 reports.
