American Airlines’ Boise-Dallas daily nonstop flight begins
A ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday, complete with a ceremonial water arch the Boise Fire Department shot over a 128-seat, Airbus A319 airplane, celebrated the first flight of American Airlines' new nonstop daily service between the Boise Airport and Dallas-Forth Worth International Airport.
The daily flight will take off from Boise at 7:17 a.m. and arrive at Dallas-Fort Worth at 11:30 a.m. The return flight will leave Dallas-Fort Worth at 4:45 p.m. and arrive here at 7:07 p.m.
Dallas has been near the top of Boise economic leaders' wish list for direct flights for years because the Treasure Valley's largest employers travel to Texas for business, and often to Dallas itself.
The addition gives the Boise Airport 20 nonstop flights and creates more single-stop options to reach destinations in Central America and South America.
