Boise attorney named 4th District magistrate
Michael W. Lojek was selected by the Magistrate Commission for the Fourth Judicial District to serve as an Ada County magistrate.
Lojek, 46, is a 1987 graduate of Bishop Kelly High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash., and his law degree from the University of Idaho College of Law.
He worked as assistant general counsel to the National Rifle Association from 1998 to 2000. He later worked as a public defender in Ada County and in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties in Florida. He also worked as an assistant bar counsel for the Florida Bar.
He returned to the Ada County Public Defender’s Office in 2006, where he currently works.
Lojek will begin his work as a magistrate on June 13, with an assignment to the family law docket.
