Minor injuries when semi hits pickup in Meridian
One person sustained minor injuries when their pickup got T-boned by a semi driver Thursday morning, according to Tracy Basterrechea, Meridian deputy chief of police.
Ada County dispatch learned of the injury accident involving a semitrailer and pickup truck at around 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
The driver of a pickup crossed Meridian Road at Calderwood Street and the driver of the semitrailer T-boned the pickup, Basterrechea said.
The driver of the pickup was taken to the hospital, but only as a precautionary measure, since their injuries were minor, Basterrechea said.
The details of the crash, including the names of those involved, has yet to be released. Basterrechea said they haven’t decided whether they will issue charges or citations since the crash is still under investigation.
Crews were finishing up clearing the scene as of 9:30 a.m.
