A 5-year-old boy was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a car hit him Thursday evening, according to Boise Police Department.
The driver struck the child, who was riding a bicycle, around 5 p.m. in the area of South Latah and Nez Perce streets.
The driver got out of the vehicle and rendered first aid before officers arrived, BPD said.
The incident is still under investigation, so it’s not yet clear what caused the accident or whether a citation will be issued. The names of the people involved haven’t yet been released, and updated information on the boy’s condition was not available Friday evening.
