Boise police issue citation in Orchard injury crash
A Boise man has been cited in a four-vehicle injury crash that closed Orchard Street south of the interstate for a time Tuesday afternoon and required the aid of a hazmat team.
Don R. Owen, 68, crossed into the center lane of Orchard at Wright Street and hit three other vehicles, including a Reddaway Trucking semitrailer. Boise Fire Department’s hazmat crew responded to clean up a fuel spill.
Owen was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, said Boise police. He was cited for failing to maintain the lane of travel, according to police.
The crash closed Orchard in both directions for several hours.
