Morning fire destroys shed, damages two Garden City mobile homes
The fire was reported shortly after 6 a.m. Tuesday, and when Boise firefighters arrived they found a shed fully involved in flames, which extended to the owner's mobile home and an adjacent mobile home.
Both mobile homes had exterior damage but are likely still habitable, and the shed was a total loss, Boise Fire Department spokeswoman Tammy Barry said. An occupant of one of the homes was treated on scene, then transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries not considered to be life-threatening, she said.
Investigators are looking into what caused the two-alarm fire in the 500 block of 43rd Street off Adams Street in Garden City. The BFD's Burnout Fund is assisting with homeowner needs.
