The driver of a Fed Ex tractor-trailer that struck a stopped pickup truck late Monday, sparking a long closure of Interstate 84, has been cited for failure to maintain his lane, Idaho State Police report.
Travis Trowbridge, 27, of Boise was heading west at milepost 97 near Mountain Home when his vehicle hit the trailer of a pickup truck that was stopped on the right shoulder, ISP spokeswoman Teresa Baker said Thursday night. His Fed Ex truck was pulling three trailers, one of which caught fire.
The fiery crash closed a section of Interstate 84 in both directions for more than five hours, and westbound lanes didn’t reopen until about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Idaho State Police report.
No one was injured in the crash.
