Boise Police officers are asking for any information about a man suspected of a sexual assault that reportedly occurred about 2:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, in the area of West Hickory Court and North Wheaton Lane in West Boise.
According to police, the female victim told officers she was walking in the area when an unknown adult male grabbed her from behind, threw her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. The suspect stopped the assault and ran from the area on foot when he heard an approaching car. The victim was able to return to her home. She went to a local hospital the following morning, where officers made contact with her.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned male in his mid to late thirties with scruffy facial hair, and an approximately inch-long scar on his left cheek. The suspect was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, a baseball cap underneath the hood and jeans.
Officers think this is an isolated incident and ask anyone with any information about the suspect or the reported assault to contact Boise Police. The investigation remains ongoing.

Tipsters can remain anonymous and can earn a reward of up to $1,000 if the tip leads to a felony arrest.
