Boise woman moves on to the finals of 'Jeopardy!' College Tournament
Timberline High School graduate Niki Peters continued her winning ways on "Jeopardy!" Monday, winning the first semi-final match in the game show's two-week college tournament.
Now a sophomore studying integrative biology at the University of California, Berkeley, Peters will move on to the two-day finals, set for Thursday and Friday. The player with the highest total during those two days will earn $100,000. Peters' opponents will be the winners of the semi-final matches Tuesday and Wednesday.
The other tournament contestant who hails from Boise, Capital High graduate Kevin Brown, competed in last week's quarter-finals, but the Louisiana State University senior’s earnings fell just short of the amount needed to earn a wild-card spot in the semifinals.
“Jeopardy!” airs at 6 p.m. weekdays on KBOI-TV, Channel 2.
