A 61-year-old man was transported to the hospital Thursday night after being hit by a vehicle in Meridian, according to Ada County Dispatch.
The crash near the intersection of Meridian and Ustick roads was called in around 9:10 p.m. The Meridian Police Department responded and Ada County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the investigation.
Police found the pedestrian lying in the west lane of Ustick Road. He was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to MPD.
The pedestrian was struck by a 1998 Jeep Cherokee driven by a 16-year-old boy, according to police.
The pedestrian had been wearing dark clothing, MPD reported. Police said they believe the pedestrian had been drinking alcohol.
At this time no charges or citations have been filed, according to MPD.
