UPDATE: Fire destroys mobile home south of Boise; 2 injured

A Boise mobile home was lost to fire overnight, Boise Fire Department spokeswoman Tammy Barry said.

The two occupants of the home sustained minor burns and were sent to the hospital, but didn’t suffer life-threatening injuries, Barry said, adding that the Ada County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the blaze.

“Investigators have not detected any evidence of foul play and are still working to figure out what happened,” ACSO spokesman Patrick Orr said, noting that the home does not appear to be covered by any fire district. Therefore, he said, investigators have asked for help from the state fire marshal's office to determine the cause.

The home, on the 8000 block of South Pleasant Valley Road between East Gowen Road and West Hollilynn Drive, caught fire around 11 p.m. Wednesday night and was quickly engulfed, Barry said.

Boise Fire assisted in putting out the blaze, as did the Idaho National Guard. It took about an hour to knock down the flames, Barry said.
