Capital grad didn’t win ‘Jeopardy!’ match, but there’s still hope

Boise resident Kevin Brown didn't win his game Tuesday during the "Jeopardy!" college championship, but he could still be in the running for a wild-card spot in the semi-finals next week.

It just depends on what other contestants score during first-round play. At the end of Final Jeopardy Tuesday, Brown was in third place with $14,000.

A graduate of Capital High School and student at the Treasure Valley Math and Science Center, Brown is a senior at Louisiana State University, majoring in environmental engineering.

Another former student at the math and science center, Timberline High School graduate Niki Peters, is scheduled to compete in the college championship Friday. She is a sophomore at the University of California, Berkeley.

“Jeopardy!” airs at 6 p.m. weekdays on KBOI-TV, Channel 2.
