The section of Five Mile Road between Fairview Avenue and Ustick Road will be reduced to two lanes while crews work to expand the roadway, according to an Ada County Highway District press release.
The reduction will start Monday and could last into the fall, according to ACHD.
Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic, but commuters are advised to take different routes since slow-downs are expected.
The work will expand that section of Five Mile into five lanes, add sidewalks and bike lanes on both sides, according to the release. Crews are also planning to add a crosswalk, curbs and gutters.
