Update: Power restored to Downtown Boise
A disruption Monday morning affected 988 Idaho Power customers, the company said.
The outage caused the lights to go out at homes and businesses between Warm Springs Avenue and the Boise River and from Old Penitentiary Road in East Boise to Capitol Boulevard.
The Idaho Capitol was not affected and the Legislature conducted business as usual.
A truck backed into a power pole, damaging a transformer on the pole. Service was back up by afternoon.
