Boise State expansion plan heads to city council
The Boise Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday evening recommended approval of Boise State University’s master plan.
The long-term master plan identifies new buildings, roads and infrastructure that the university will need over the next 30 years. The school aims to increase the campus’s 250-acre footprint by 50 acres by expanding south to Boise Avenue
In its recommendation to the City Council, the planning commission asked that Boise State provide the council a preliminary traffic assessment for Boise Avenue from Capitol Boulevard to Broadway Avenue because Boise Avenue will be significantly impacted by the expansion.
The Boise City Council will take up the plan at its Tuesday, Jan. 19, meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. at Boise City Hall, third floor, 150 N. Capitol Blvd.
