Rashid had dreamed of being a crime fighter, so Boise Police took him up on it Aug. 21 by making him an honorary officer and leading him through a mystery. Rashid was set on the case of the Bronco’s missing hammer. He sought clues, looked at evidence and found the hammer at Zoo Boise with the wallaby. Then Rashid returned the hammer to the football team, who cheered him on loudly.
Rashid, who lived with his family in the U.S. for six years, had a rare cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma.
