School bus driver cited for crash at Overland and Cole in Boise
A school bus and a car collided at around 8:10 a.m. on Friday morning near the corner of Overland and Cole.
Three elementary school students headed to Monroe Elementary School were on the bus at the time of the crash, said Dan Hollar, public affairs administrator for the Boise School District. None of them was injured, but the bus driver received a citation for being at fault; for making a left turn on a red light.
The bus driver was not injured.
The car that was hit was traveling west on Overland. The driver was extricated from the car and was taken to the hospital, according to dispatch.
