Idaho nonprofits team up in annual fundraiser for homelessness prevention
The Home Partnership Foundation, under the Idaho Housing and Finance Association, is seeking to raise $325,000 through the Avenues for Hope Housing Challenge campaign to prevent homelessness, according to a release.
Since the campaign started in 2010, it has earned $650,000 for 34 nonprofits that work to help homeless people and prevent people from falling into homelessness.
“The campaign is critical in addressing the needs of Idaho’s homeless, who are looking for an opportunity to become self-sufficient,” Gerald M. Hunter, president of Idaho Housing and Finance, said in a Thursday statement.
By Thursday morning the organization had raised $16,200. The campaign runs through the end of December. You can donate here..
