Woman, dog uninjured in Boise fire

No one was injured, but a Boise Bench home was severely damaged when a two-alarm fire broke out Wednesday afternoon, the Boise Fire Department reports.

The fire, reported shortly before 1 p.m. at 3504 Tulara Drive, was mostly limited to the kitchen and living room, BFD spokeswoman Tammy Barry said. A woman was inside but got out safely, Barry said. Firefighters rescued a dog from the home but didn't immediately find the cat reported to be inside, she said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The home is not currently habitable, Barry said.
