The Bloomingdale neighborhood celebrated the opening of a Little Free Library at 5063 West Catalpa Drive.

Kim Dewit, who had the idea to set up a tiny lending library, did so because of her love of her neighborhood and literacy. Dewit teaches English to non-native speakers at Boise State University.

“This is a great neighborhood,” she said.

There are about 30 other tiny libraries in Boise under the Little Free Library program.
