Melink said no structures had been damaged as of Monday at about 2 p.m. Hikers were ordered to leave all Boise Foothills trails near the fire, including in the Hulls Gulch area, Boise Fire wrote in a statement posted online.

The fire, which was burning north of the Military Reserve and southeast of Hulls Gulch Reserve, reached more than 300 acres by 3:30 p.m., according to Boise Fire. An alert from fire detector Watch Duty said that air tankers had been requested, and by 3:15 p.m. they could be seen making passes over the fire.

As of 4 p.m. there were no structures being threatened and no active evacuation orders in place for residents, according to Watch Duty.

Idaho Power’s outage map showed that the fire was the cause of a small outage in the area to 17 customers.

The Boise Fire Department scheduled a 4:45 p.m. press conference to provide the latest information about the blaze.
