Update: A Boise Police Department post at 7:31 p.m. on Facebook said Cashis was “safely located,” and BPD thanked everyone for sharing messages.

The Boise Police Department is searching for a missing 9-year-old boy last seen south of Boise State University on Thursday afternoon.

Some residents received an alert from the department stating the child, named Cashis, was last seen at about 3 p.m. in the area of S. Michigan Avenue and W. Warren Street, which is in the South Boise Village neighborhood.

The child was last seen wearing a teal tie-dye shirt and gray shorts, according to the police message.

A second alert sent by the Boise Police Department said the boy was seen at about 5 p.m. around 2202 S. Gekeler Lane, which is just off Boise Avenue in the southeast part of the city.

Police asked anyone with information about the boy to call 911 or contact the Ada County Dispatch at 208-377-6790.
