Cows in the streets of Boise late at night? You’re not just seeing things
It was udder chaos in the streets of Boise last night.
The Boise Police Department estimated that around 100 cows were roaming the streets of Boise in the early hours of Tuesday.
Just after 1 a.m., the cows passed through the intersection of Bogus Basin and Cartwright roads and headed for the North End neighborhood, according to a Boise police Facebook post.
The herd covered quite a bit of ground, with reports of cow sightings at 18th and Sherman streets, 18th and Eastman streets, 15th and Harrison streets and on Dewey Street.
The Ada County Dispatch, along with Boise police and the Idaho State Police, tracked down the owner and chased down the cows.
Boise police stated that many of the cows found their way to an alley between 18th and 19th streets. The owner came to the rescue with a trailer to take them home.
The incident lasted about fours hours, and the cows were hauled back home at about 5 a.m., Boise police said.
