The Boise Airport’s food and merchandise makeover is on its way to completion. Several restaurants and shops are departing to make way for new ones.

Before these restaurants close, you may want to stop by Einstein Bros. Bagels, Smashburger, Harvest & Grounds and River City Coffee & Cafe.

In June 2024, the Boise Airport announced its plan to replace or renovate the sites of all vendors as their 10-year concessions contracts came up for renewal. The goal is to highlight the best of Boise with local restaurants and shops that travelers can enjoy while passing through. The new restaurants and shops were chosen after a public solicitation for proposals.

Construction on all of the new vendors will be finished up by the end of 2025, according to Boise Airport spokesperson Jennifer Kronberg.

Some are already open:

  • Treefort Outpost Food + Drink. The restaurant, run by the operators of the Treefort Music Hall, replaced 13th Street Bar & Grill and Parilla Grill. It sits in Concourse B before the Transportation Security Administration checkpoint.
  • Idaho Tap House, which replaced Cross Grains Brewhouse, a bar in Concourse B near gate B11.

Others will open in the next couple of weeks, Kronberg told the Statesman:

  • Waffle Me Up and The STIL will be together at a newly constructed vendor site located in the center area at the food court of Concourse B. The STIL, an acronym for “sweetest things in life” is a local ice cream shop known for selling ice cream with unique flavors.
