Police ask public for help finding missing 5-year-old boy who walked away from Boise home

Law enforcement has asked the public for helping finding a missing child in the Boise area.

The Boise Police Department said 5-year-old Matthew Glynn walked away from his home at about 5:45 p.m Monday near West State and Alamosa streets, according to social media posts. Alamosa Street is north of the Willow Lane Athletic Complex in the Collister neighborhood.

Police described Matthew as a white boy who is nonverbal and autistic with brown hair and eyes. He stands about 2’5” tall and weighs 30 pounds. He was last seen wearing batman pajamas.

Authorities asked anyone with information to call 911 or Ada County Dispatch at 208-377-6790.

Boise Police Department spokesperson Haley Williams told the Idaho Statesman by email that more information on the search would be released Tuesday.
