Another street closure is coming for downtown Boise. Here’s what to expect
Another street closure headed for downtown Boise.
The Ada County Highway District will begin work on its State Street project Monday, which will close the road between 4th and 6th streets, the agency said in a news release. The closure is expected to last until the end of November.
ACHD has asked those who drive, walk or bike down State Street to instead use Washington or Jefferson streets, the release said. The closure will extend to 8th Street after the legislative session ends.
Workers plan to upgrade severalfeatures, including three traffic signals and the crosswalk behind the Idaho Capitol, and they also plan to extend the other crosswalks so it’s a shorter walk for pedestrians and creating “better visibility,” according to the highway district.
More information about the closure can be found on ACHD’s website.
