Boise man hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after shooting. Suspect arrested
Police arrested a man early Monday morning after a Boise shooting left a male victim in the hospital with life-thretening injuries.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at 4:30 a.m. at a home on West Silver City Court, according to a Boise Police Department news release. Police said they found a man who had been shot and described his injuries as life-threatening. They began providing medical care and securing the scene, according to the department.
Ada County Paramedics arrived to take over the care and took the victim to a local hospital for further treatment, according to the release.
Police began investigating and said they learned that 47-year-old Aaron Black, of Boise, was heard inside the home “talking loudly” with the victim before the shooting. Black was at the scene during the investigation, police spokesperson Haley Williams told the Idaho Statesman.
Police took Black to a local hospital “due to statements he made,” according to Williams. Once he was cleared, he was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail without bail at 5:38 a.m. on a felony charge of aggravated battery, according to online records.
