Semi rollover blocks I-84 traffic lanes near Boise Airport, injures driver
Two westbound lanes on Interstate 84 in Boise remained blocked Tuesday after a commercial vehicle rolled over early that morning.
A 46-year-old man from Michigan City, Indiana, was driving a semi with a single-box trailer east on I-84 when the vehicle struck the center barrier at 2:54 a.m. near the Boise Airport, Idaho State Police said in a Tuesday news release.
Police said the semi overturned and the trailer went over the barrier, blocking the two left lanes on the westbound side. First responders transported the semi driver, who was wearing a seat belt, to a local hospital by ambulance, police said.
Law enforcement told the Idaho Statesman that the two left lanes on the westbound side were still blocked as of 10:30 a.m. The eastbound lanes were blocked for four hours.
Idaho State Police said they were continuing to investigate the incident.
