Local motorcycle driver killed in single-vehicle crash near Caldwell. Police investigate

One person died in a Canyon County single-vehicle crash.

A 60-year-old man from Nampa was driving a Honda motorcycle west on Lone Star Road at 3:42 p.m. Sunday when it left the right shoulder and crashed just south of Caldwell at the intersection of South Indiana Avenue, Idaho State Police said in a news release.

The man, whose name has not been released, died from his injuries at the scene, according to the release. Police said he was not wearing a helmet.

The highway’s lanes were blocked for about three hours, according to law enforcement.

Police said they were continuing to investigate the incident.
