A Boise teen has been missing for over a week. Here’s what to do if you have information
A Boise teenager has been missing for more than a week, prompting a nationwide organization to ask the public for help finding her.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported in a news release that Shyla Renner, 17, left her Boise home on Tuesday, Aug. 15, and has not been seen since.
“She has ... not been seen or heard from since she disappeared,” the center said.
The release indicated that the teen could be in the greater Boise area still or might have traveled to Oregon.
Renner is 4 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds, and has blonde hair and hazel eyes.
Anyone with information about Renner or her disappearance can contact the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678 or the Boise Police Department at 208-377-6790.
Boise police told the Idaho Statesman that they have taken a report on Renner and believe she might have run away.
“Officers are working to locate her and confirm her well-being,” Haley Williams, Boise police spokesperson, said by email.
